You can open a business in Poland quite quickly, especially if you choose the form of individual entrepreneurship (FOP, or Jednoosobowa działalność gospodarcza). Registration of FOP is free and can be done online through CEIDG (Central Register of Entrepreneurs). For this, you will need a PESEL number and a legitimate basis for staying in Poland, such as a residence card or a UKR status for Ukrainian citizens【4:10†source】.
If you want to register a company in the form of Spółka z o.o. (analog of LLC), it is also possible, but the process may take a little longer. Registration through the S24 system (online) usually takes 1-3 working days, and through a notary - 1-2 weeks【4:4†source】【4:5†source】.
It is important to remember that after registration, you will need to obtain a tax number (NIP) and, if you plan to work with clients from the EU, register as a VAT payer (VAT-UE)【4:9†source】.
