An individual’s income from disposing of virtual currency is taxed at 19% and reported in PIT-38. Selling for ordinary currency or paying for goods or liabilities with crypto is a disposal; exchanging one virtual currency for another is not itself taxable. Documented acquisition costs follow special rules, including reporting when no disposal occurs. Whether Polish tax applies also depends on tax residence.
